BETA — supports the ICOM ID-5200 and ID-52A (including PLUS), and CHIRP CSV output. This is a useful tool to build a bank for each place you operate or stop along your route. Simply enter a ZIP code, distance and minimum score, then download one memory-channel CSV to import into your ICOM radio or open in CHIRP.
This beta selects analog FM repeaters on 2m and 70cm from the same cached data used by Proximity Search, including CTCSS and DTCS. Digital, unsupported tone combinations and incomplete operating settings are excluded currently. Scores estimate likely activity; they are not ratings out of 10.
Add your banks in the order you want them on the radio. A minimum score of 1 is a useful starting point. ZIP codes use approximate US locations from GeoNames. Repeaters may appear in more than one bank. Repeater data comes from RepeaterBook.
The CSV uses this exact preview until you change a bank or output format, or request a new preview. Empty banks have no CSV rows and keep their assigned positions.
Copy the downloaded CSV to ID-5200/Csv/MemoryCh/ on your radio’s microSD card, then use the radio’s Memory CH CSV import. Keep a backup of your current memories before importing.
This is a memory-channel file, separate from the repeater list used by the radio’s Near Repeater Search. This beta still needs confirmation on the radio itself.
Open the CSV in CHIRP. Download and save a backup of your radio’s current image, then import the CSV into that image. Check the destination channel numbers to preserve the bank blocks before uploading to your radio.
The CSV reserves channel positions; it does not create named banks or zones. Assign those in CHIRP if your radio supports them. Check your radio’s capacity, bands, name length and tone support. See CHIRP’s CSV guide.
